Exercise program

I have an ongoing exercise program going on. I have to keep it up the rest of my life. I am one of those women who has to have exercise in order to keep my weight in check. It is also good for stress and every thing life throws at you. It makes it better on your metabolism also. Everyone needs some form of exercise. You do not have to kill yourself and do hours of exercise at a time. if you exercise 4 times a week, this will be better than nothing and very helpful,as long as you mix up your workouts.

Lucy marathon

They are having a new year’s eve lucy marathon. It is the best of lucy chosen by the viewers. They have had some pretty good episodes since they started the marathon. I like the ones when they travel. Their travels take them on a cruise to Europe. A trip to Florida, and California. Europe is my favorite. The cruise shipo episoides are very good. Lucy misses the ship and has to land by a helicopter hovering above the ship and dropped gently by a cable. That is good. There are so many good episodes on their travels. So I will enjoy the marathon.

Hangman game

There is another game I liked called hangman. you

draw a 7 type figure. You choose a word. Some

one is guessing letters. If they are right, you put the

letter down. If they are wrong, you start making

a person hanging from the symbol. If they guess

the word before the hanging man is completed, they

win the game. Each wrong letter is a part of the

man. It was a fun game also. We played it many

times at home. It’s fun to try to guess the word.

I won and lost the game. I also was the one who

would get to pick the word. This was even better.

Try this game. It can go very fast at times.

Gift cards

Gift cards make great gifts if you know where

people like to shop or eat. If I kow a family

member or friend likes a certain thing, I pick that.

You could also give Visa gift cards. Am Ex does

this also. You give these and the recipient can

go where ever the card can be used. They do

charge a small fee in addition to the amount when

the card is bought. They are nice though. If you

do not know where they like to shop, these are

the way to go. Gas cards are always great for

any driver in the family, or a friend. I am sure

they would like to keep whatever they have in

their pocket for some thing else.

I have given many gift cards. These are great when

you don’t get to see that person for the occasion.

I have given gift cards in person along with a gift

they can have right away. So if this is how you

can shop, it is a great way of getting your

holiday or birthday shopping done.

refreshing mints

Mints can be  tasty and refreshing  after

a meal. They come in many forms. You can get

chocolate mints or hard candy mints. Spearmint

is one. Also peppermint and Wintergreen.

Mints served in a restaurant come in hard mints

and also soft chocolate mints, such as Olive

Garden serves. They serve the mints like the

Andes candies. They are one of the best tasting.

Giardelli makes a wonderful chocolate mint

candy that I get as gifts for family members.

Some places serve the red and white starlight

mints. They are a classic. Life savers mints are

a classic too. These taste good and make your

mouth feel cleaner when you are out and about.

Our family likes the chocolate mints best. They

are cool and delicious and also my family loves

chocolate. My sister and dad especially loved

chocolate. This was Sue’s favorite shake also.

Wild Keys storm

I remember being in the Keys one weekend with my In-Laws. There was a storm comng through. They had evacuated the tourists. We stayed behind to help out my husbands parents. You could hear the wind outside. it sounded like it would come in any second. We had the storm windows up, so that helped. This storm went on all night, leaving a mess behind in its path. When we looked at the damage, it wasn’t too bad. There was quite a bit to clean up though. I was glad that we stayed behind to help. It was a day or two until tourists were aloud to come back to the Keys. It was actually during the week that this storm took place, and not the weekend as I said at first.

Best Apple dumpling

I like apple dumplings. One of the best places for these is Cracker Barrel. I tried one of theirs one time and was hooked. When my husband and I are on a long road trip, we like to stop at a cracker barrel. We usually stop on the way home though. I remember a couple of times stopping. I took an apple dumpling home. It was still a two hour trip home, so I did not get the dumpling with the icecream. We have a Cracker barrel in our town now. These are great places to stop. They are popular at Highway exits. You always see a sign for one of these places. Cracker Barrel has many other tasty foods also. Their Chicken and Dumplings is great too. So, if you get a chance and see one of these places, check it out. You will not be disappointed.

New job

I am going to be doing some thing new today. I will be bell ringing for the salvation army. I wanted to do it as a new experience. I will probably have 1 or 2 different places to work. I am starting at the Walgreens near my home. I have an 8 and a half hour day today. It should be interesting to see how many people come up to me, especially on my first day. It is the only store around, but can get busy just the same because Walgreens is a busy place. It will be busier around the holiday times, which is now. It will be a long day, but if I can get help for people, it will be worth it. This is the first year I have seen Bell ringers advertised in the paper. I applied as soon as I saw it.
